How We Select Every Canvas Roll
Not every canvas that's available to us makes it into our store. Before we carry a canvas, we evaluate it against the standards that matter to working stitchers and designers:
- Mesh accuracy — Intersections must be consistent across the full roll width. Drifting mesh causes uneven basketweave tension and misaligned painted designs.
- Warp resistance — Canvas must hold its shape during stitching without pulling or distorting, even on large pieces mounted on stretcher bars.
- Paint compatibility — For painted canvas work, the surface must accept acrylic paint evenly without bleed-through or roughness that distorts the design.
- Thread coverage — We test coverage with Persian wool, silk, and cotton on each mesh count. Full coverage without excessive thread thickness.
- Blocking performance — Canvas must respond predictably to wet blocking and hold its shape after drying.
- Edge stability — Clean selvage edges with minimal fraying.
Designed for Modern Needlepoint Projects
Our canvas is used in a wide range of creative needlepoint applications — from holiday ornaments and decorative pillows to personalized monogram designs and studio-designed collections. Built for stitchers who care about both structure and creative expression.

Every canvas roll we carry is selected for mesh consistency, edge stability, and stitch performance — tested by stitchers, trusted by independent designers and painted canvas studios. We're not a generic textile exporter. We're needlepoint people, and we source canvas the way we'd want to buy it.
Built for the Needlepoint Community
Whether you're stitching your first ornament, running a painted canvas studio, or sourcing canvas for your LNS — we get it. Needlepoint is a small world, and canvas quality matters more than most people outside the community realize. Mesh consistency, stiffness, fiber compatibility, blocking performance — these aren't just specs. They're the difference between a project you're proud of and one that fights you the whole way. That's why we source the way we do.
Trusted by Designers. Built for Studios.
Before committing to a full roll, test our canvas yourself. Used by painted canvas studios and independent designers across the US. See why stitchers switch — and stay.
